I have adopted 4 rescue dogs - all wonderful, happy pups. Two of them were seniors. Each one was so lovable and happy. My now 13 year old German shepherd was going to be euthanized at 5 months because she growled at the plastic hand the “humane” society stuck in her food bowl to test her temperament while she was eating. 5 months old!! Luna is the best dog ever, not an ounce of aggression in her sweet soul. I still shudder sometimes at how close she came to being killed.
