Are you aware of any peer reviewed studies which have shown a definitive example of dog-human transfer of salmonella? There are several studies that I am aware of. However, the circumstances described in these are bordering on reckless stupidity and absence of fundamental hygeine. Salmonella occurs in dog faeces and consequently, requires the human to ingest the infected faeces. There is no information regarding the quantity of infected material that would be required to infect the human.
